BLUE SERIES

Living and working around the water so much, and traveling in the US and elsewhere it's always apparent to us how important water is to everyday life. The abundance or lack of water determines social cultures and lifestyles and the geography of entire continents. We aren't tie-yourself-to-the-tree environmentalists, but we are true believers in clean water. Whenever we research and find a topic like "Graybeard" or "Roke Fog" we get so excited we run for the easel to start a composition on the topic. Who wouldn't be in awe of a gigantic rogue ocean wave or the beauty of the sun peeking thru the shoreline mist. Paintings can go a long way toward capturing how those things feel. We began this blue series thinking just of the colors, but now these paintings help us find more meaning. Click individual images for painting details...
